The teaching of the Seven Factors of Awakening is a Buddhist description of wise human development.  Mindfulness is the central factor, supported on one side by the arousing qualities of investigation, energy and joy, and balanced on the other side by the stabilizing qualities of tranquility, concentration and equanimity.  In this meditation program we will explore these seven characteristics of mind and heart through lecture, discussion, meditation and movement.  No prior experience with meditation or Buddhist teachings required. Beginners are welcome.
